No-CD patch (ver 1.0) freeware Cracked By : gimpsRus Released On: 9 October 2002 This is a patched EXE file that allows the user to start their Infrgrames RCT2 game without the need to have the game CD in their CD Drive. This file is intended for legitimate game owners, as a way to protect their vulnerable CD from potential damage (you can now store it away in a safe place). To install this patch, first install the RCT2 game onto your hard drive. Next, rename the file "rct2.exe" (you could simply delete it, but if you rename it you can easily restore it later if problems occur with this crack). Finally, place this cracked "rct2.exe" file in the folder that contained the original "rct2.exe" file. NOTE: It is legal to own and use this modified "rct2.exe" file in order to play the RCT2 game within the terms of the End User License Agreement (EULA). Be aware that this cracked "rct2.exe" file may potentially -not- work with all versions of the game, or with certain add-ons. Testing Notes: This patch will recognize the U.S. Infograms version of RCT2 (and probably the U.S. Infrograms version of Wacky Worlds, but this has not been tested). It will also -partially- recognize the U.S. Atari RCT2 Tripple Thrill Pack, but it does NOT recognize Time Twister components (the Atari intaller does NOT give you the option to only specify RCT2 or RCT2 plus Wacky Worlds... it always loads all three components, RCT2 plus Wacky Worlds plus Time Twisters). However, the only apparent effect of not recognizing Time Twisters, is that you can not play the included Time Twister scenarios. Everything else appears to work just fine. Further Note: Although a fresh installation of Atari RCT2 will by default try to install in the "Program Files\Atari\Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 Tripple Thrill Pack" directory, if you have already installed the Infrograms version of RCT2, the Tripple Thrill Pack will install over the Infrograms version of RCT2 (which by default installs in "Program Files\Infogrames Interactive\RollerCoaster Tycoon 2"). Note also that if you install the UCES expansion pack, it will by default try to install into the default Infograms version of RCT2 location, so you must manually specify the Atari folder if necessary.
